Didi and Jasper Clutch 1

Didi and Jasper started their first clutch together in December 2016. A few of the owlets from the previous clutch (Hans and Didi Clutch 5) were still hanging around the Hideout and not quite ready to leave. Didi and Jasper were patient with them and tolerated their presence. Sadly, Didi stopped sitting on the eggs after the second one was laid.

Jasper sits on an egg!!!

While Didi was out, Jasper brought in a rat and sits on the egg as he waited for her. We didn’t see that coming!

Havoc ensues as Clutch 5 owlets remain in the area looking for food while Didi sits on an egg.
